What is meant by lawn and tree care management?
You can make the grass in your lawn healthy enough to out-compete most weeds with good management. This requires applying balanced fertilizers at the right times and in the correct amounts. You will also need to mow frequently, keep
your mower blades sharp and allow the grass to stay at least 3 inches long. If
nature doesn't provide adequate, timely water, you will have to do so. Following good lawn and tree care management with Countryside, will result in a
healthier more beautiful trees and lawn.
Do I have to sign a year-long contact with your company?
No. If at any point during the season you feel that you do not need our services or
if changes in life make our services not a feasible option, just give us a call and
we can discontinue services. You will only be responsible for services already rendered.
Do I need to be home for you to complete the treatment? No, as long as we have access to all of the lawn area. If you prefer to be home we can give you a call the day before a treatment to let you know that we are coming.
Is there any single solution to lawn weeds? Since there are so many types of plants that can become lawn weeds, a simple solution is not available. Various weeds respond differently to weed control methods. Good lawn management is your best defense.
What exactly is crabgrass? Crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis) is an annual grassy weed with broad blades having a rough texture and are a lighter green than turf grasses. Since it is annual, it germinates in the spring, develops during the summer leaving lots of fresh seeds, then dies in the late fall. The plants that are there this summer will not be back, but their seeds will.
