Jeff Laing
Vice President

I have over 15 years in the green industry. I started off in the irrigation department digging holes and learning the ins and outs of how to properly repair, design and install Irrigation systems. I am an irrigation Journeyman and certified backflow technician.

After 3 years working in the irrigation department, I became the manager and only sales person in irrigation. During that time, I learned how to work with customers, and how to motivate and train employees to take care of our customers. My main goal then was to help grow the department to where it is now. I have been with Countryside for 10 years this go around as I worked for the company when I was growing up and being the owner’s son.

I became a Certified Arborist in 2012, I have always loved trees and studied them so I decided to take the courses at Kansas State University to become a certified Arborist. Through continuing education, I enjoy to refresh and learn as much as possible.

Customer service is my number 1 goal. My focus is to help ensure the customers are well educated on why we do things the way we do as opposed to other company’s by not cutting corners and giving the best service possible. I wanted to make my father proud and prove myself to be able to run the company. It’s one step and one day at a time.

I have slowly started taking over more and more of day to day business of running the entire company. While continuing to run the tree department, my focus is on taking care of our employees making sure they are happy plus showing my father that I can run this company without his worry.
My goal now is taking Countryside to the next level, and to ensure a future better than ever for our employees and our customers.

As a small locally owned family business I take a lot of pride in what my father started over 30 years ago, and now it’s up to me to keep it going another 30 plus years. As I continue to play my role in running the entire company and tree department, my father continues to slowly move into retirement. I am not doing this job alone, I have the best managers and staff in the business who bust their butts daily working with me to better Countryside day in and day out. I am very proud to be the next generation of Countryside. Customer service will continue to be my number 1 priority as we move forward and continue to grow.
